Bangsaray, Thailand, October 11, 2022: Columbia Pictures Aquaverse, the world’s first fully branded Columbia Pictures movie theme park officially opens in Bang Saray, Pattaya, to welcome visitors from Thailand and all over the world.  This is a collaboration between Sony Pictures Entertainment and Amazon Falls.

The country’s newest theme park offers thrilling rides and immersive attractions allowing guests of all ages to enjoy their favorite characters from some of the most popular Hollywood films: Ghostbusters, Jumanji, Bad Boys, Zombieland, The Emoji Movie, Surfs UpHotel Transylvania, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

The Hotel Transylvania zone is Southeast Asia’s largest water play structure where guests can choose from nine slides and experience over 100 water features that the whole family can enjoy.  Ghostbusters Proton Stream allows visitors to indulge in a scream-filled ride as they twist and turn in total darkness before dropping into the world’s first gigantic Stay Puft-themed water dome.  Another highlight of the water park is the Mega Wave Pool, which will host music events, movie screenings and live shows on the main stage featuring three giant LED screens and a Dolby DTS surround sound system.

The park is strategically located as part of the EEC’s plans to develop the area into a global destination, including a new airport and the expansion of highway and train systems.

It is also a testament to the strength and appeal of Thailand as a global leader in tourism.

Thailand has been recently ranked No. 3 on the “Top Countries in the World” list by Conde Nast, while Agoda ranked Bangkok and Pattaya in Top 10 of the world’s most popular summer destination of 2022. This is a proof to support that Columbia Pictures Aquaverse is strategically located in one of the world’s top tourist destinations.

The theme and waterpark is on a 39 rai plot of land in Bangsaray, a 20-minute drive from South of Pattaya.  It opens daily from 10 am to 6 pm. The one-day ticket costs 1,590 baht for adults and 1,290 baht for kids.
